The Char Griller 1224 is loaded with features like 580 square inches of cooking space so you cook enough grilled steaks to feed around 10-12 people. And for smoked meats or even veggies, there’s an additional 250 square inches provided in the side firebox for an even hungrier crowd or a variety of tastes.
The cast iron cooking grates are nonstick and warp resistant, while the height of the grate can be adjusted for various cooking temperatures. There’s even a built-in temperature gauge so you know exactly how hot your foods are getting.
There are also drawers that slide out for adding more charcoal so you don’t have the hassle of removing the cooking grates while you’re grilling. The drawers also make cleanup of ashes a breeze and without the mess.
A storage rack is housed below the Smokin Pro Model 1224 to give you added space for barbequing supplies like utensils, platters, sauces and fueling resources. And there are two durable wheels for easy transportation. Of course if you’re looking for more, there are several attachments available including a warming rack, rotisserie kit and a propane igniter -all sold separately.
And finally, the Char-Griller 1224 Smokin Pro does have a one-year limited warranty if you should ever find a manufacturer default in it. And while some say the warranty could be better, the price alone at around $300 for this grilling unit is well worth it.
