Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill Review

Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill

Because our family loves camping, we tend to spend a lot of our summer months outdoors. It’s also the reason we decided this year to check out a Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill since we’d heard a lot of good things about this brand and we were in the market for a new charcoal grill.

Now because we do cook a lot outdoors (even in the rain), it’s not very practical for us to really stow our stuff anywhere but outside. It’s also not very practical for us to be lugging around big and bulky grills since we do a lot of traveling. So when we heard about the Weber Smokey Joe Grill we were all eyes (and of course ears).

First of all, it’s portable, which makes it perfect for campers like us, vacationers on the road, tailgate parties, beach parties and for those just who don’t have a lot of space to spare.

Yet even though it’s great for people on the go, it still has the ability at 14 ½ inches in diameter to cook 4-5 hamburgers all at the same time.

In addition, the Smokey Joe Weber Grill is made from porcelain enamel which is rust-resistant. The handles are made if nylon for easy handling and less wear and tear.

And cooking is a breeze since it only needs a few charcoal briquettes to get started. Plus, because it’s smaller in space, you can cook foods a lot quicker compared to most other grills.

Now, keep in mind however that because it is smaller in size, it also sits very close to the ground, which means you’ll be doing a lot of bending and it’s best to keep kids and pets away from it. This can be remedied however by placing it on a higher surface such as a table or back of your truck‘s tailgate.

And as far as cooking, you don’t need to limit your grilling to hotdogs and hamburgers. If it can fit on the cooking grate, chances are it can be grilled.

And if you’re not sure how to get started, the Weber Smokey Joe Grill comes with a guide that includes some great-tasting recipes you can try out. Of course the free guide/recipe booklet certainly won’t be outdone by the company’s 10-year limited warranty!

So here’s the thing, summers come and go and when that happens we tend to like to leave our grills sit wherever they may be and then hope they make it through the rest of the seasons.

However, for those of us who don’t have the room to really do that, this little baby lets you unscrew the legs and take them off for easy storage.

It’s also very budget friendly and costs less than $50, which is a fantastic deal for anyone who wants to save money. I’d say all in all, the Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill is definitely the best portable grill available.
